2008

 Rick Gosling, recipient of the 2008 Chief Justices’ Award is a tireless community activist with a strong commitment to youth and to justice education. 

Among his many accomplishments Rick founded the Toronto Breakfast Club, organized Law in the Mall (now replicated in many shopping malls in greater Toronto area), coordinated the first Law Day celebration at 2201 Finch courthouse, and spearheaded the Justice Faye McWatt Library at the Hamilton Youth Centre and the Justice Michael Tulloch Library at the Sprucedale Youth Facility.  He also created the Second Chance Scholarship Award for youth who have served their full sentence and are pursuing post-secondary education.
