Wellington & Dufferin: Douglas Cup

The OBA and OJEN launched a new mock trial tournament for Wellington and Dufferin Counties in 2016. This tournament is also open to schools located in Grey and Bruce Counties.

The Douglas Cup was initiated by a local judge, Justice Norman Douglas, who served in Guelph for many years. After a hiatus, the name has been resurrected in honour of his contributions.

This tournament has taken place over the course of a single day, with all teams competing in preliminary rounds in the morning and the top two teams advancing to a final round in the afternoon. Should more than six schools wish to participate, the format will shift so that only preliminary rounds will take place on the first day, followed by final rounds on a second day.
