Thomas Gallezot
What I do here:
I am OJEN’s bilingual project leader, in charge of francophone outreach and development. I also manage the Classroom Programs, the Charter Challenge and the Poster Challenge.
Why I work at OJEN:
A former engineer and patent attorney from France, upon arriving in Canada I had to start at the bottom and have steadily worked my way up professionally. I have worked with leading edge organizations such as Theatre francais de Toronto, The Canadian Race Relations Foundation, The Art Gallery of Ontario, The Royal Ontario Museum and The Ontario Science Centre, serving very diverse communities in both official languages. My jobs were always connected in one way or another to education and I love it! After obtaining a Master of Public Service degree from the University of Waterloo, I wanted to work in legal education, as it is a field that bridges my two careers.
Things I did before OJEN:
I was an engineer and patent attorney
I immigrated from France to Canada
I ran three times for political offices in Toronto
