Trailblazers: Meeting Women in Law – Register Sept 22!

Location: Toronto

The Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN/ROEJ) is pleased to partner with the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) and Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) to offer Trailblazers: Meeting Women in Law, a full-day educational opportunity on Wednesday October 21, 2015. This annual event provides high school girls the opportunity to connect with female legal professionals, starting at the LEAF Persons Day Breakfast and a special Trailblazers Q&A session with the keynote speaker. After that, the students will visit Osgoode Hall, the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law, and a local law firm. Along the way, they will meet female judges, law students, and lawyers practicing in diverse areas of law.

This year, the keynote speaker at the LEAF Persons Day Breakfast is Dr. Cindy Blackstock, a noted advocate for First Nations families and youth.

Please note that the registration process has changed. Registration will open at 3pm on September 22, 2015. You will be required to submit students’ permission forms at the time of registration (available below).

NB: This event is now full.
