Welcome to the OJEN website!

Who we are and what we do

OJEN is a not-for-profit public legal education organization which works mostly with youth.  Interested in learning more about justice education? Check out our thoughts on how building young people’s legal capability is a great strategy for advancing access to justice. Browse our annual events and programs or our justice education projects to get a feel for what justice education actually looks like.

Want to get involved?

OJEN’s programs are delivered across Ontario with the help of approximately 1200 justice sector volunteers, including:

  • judges,
  • justices of the peace,
  • lawyers,
  • paralegals,
  • police officers,
  • law school students,
  • court staff, and other justice sector professionals.

There are many ways in which you can get involved. You can volunteer on an OJEN project, write or review a classroom resource for us, start an OJEN committee in your area, or make us your charity of choice! (Not only do we accept monetary donations, we happily receive robe and criminal code donations too! And, we really love those who choose to sponsor or fundraise for us…)
