OJEN works with community groups and alternative education teachers across the province to run tailored justice education programs for vulnerable or marginalised youth. These youth may be newcomer students in ESL classes, racialized youth living in priority neighbourhoods in Toronto, incarcerated youth, First Nations students attending a fly-in high school in Thunder Bay, or youth with learning exceptionalities.<\/p>\n
If you work with marginalized youth and would like OJEN to run a project with your group, complete this form and an OJEN staff member will follow up to schedule a phone call to discuss a potential project. We generally need 5-6 weeks to plan a project, so please keep this in mind when suggesting dates for the program.<\/p>\n
Justice education works best when you give it time. While OJEN does offer one-session workshops, our best work happens during 3-6 session programs, in which youth have the chance to learn and improve over time. It also means that they get more time and attention from our volunteers. We can work together to ensure the project is a good fit for your audience.<\/p>\n
