He was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in 2007 and served as President of the Association of Justices of the Peace of Ontario (AJPO) for over 4 years. He previously served an active role in the justice system by volunteering as a probation officer. His Worship recognized the need to give back to the community, serving on past Boards for Victim Services.<\/p>\n<p>This bursary is made possible by his generosity&nbsp;<strong>in the amount of $1000 per year for a three-year period,&nbsp;<\/strong>payable to a qualified law student at an accredited Ontario law school.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Nestico created this bursary to assist law students who demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to their studies, participation in extracurricular affairs, and who are in financial need.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blue-bg\">\n<p>To qualify, applicants must be a resident of Ontario who is entering their first year of law school. The recipient will be required to show evidence of enrollment to a law school.The application consists of two parts: the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/ojen.ca\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdsUxLbSIJLCA3_pTMIe8hRTt2vISMHwj9e3YUS1Fwcm6GZPA\/viewform\">application form<\/a>, which includes a short personal statement of 400 words, and a <strong>reference letter<\/strong>. Please be prepared to provide your referee&#8217;s name and email address when completing the application form.
