{"id":15111,"date":"2019-04-23T12:52:38","date_gmt":"2019-04-23T16:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ojen.ca?p=15111"},"modified":"2019-04-30T11:22:28","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T15:22:28","slug":"ojen-ambassador-program-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ojen.ca\/en\/ojen-ambassador-program-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"OJEN Ambassador Program Launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OJEN board and staff extend a warm welcome to members of the newly established OJEN Ambassadors group!&nbsp; Spearheaded&nbsp; by OJEN Board member, John Adair, this donor program provides young private practice lawyers and other professionals with opportunities to get involved in justice education initiatives and help increase OJEN\u2019s profile in the legal community. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The OJEN Ambassador program was officially launched at the Chief Justices\u2019 Award reception on March 27<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Chief Justice of Ontario, the Honourable George R. Strathy, presided over the event.&nbsp; The audience included representatives from OJEN\u2019s Network, as well as invited guests from the judiciary and Toronto Police Services.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Justices&#8217; Award is an annual award.&nbsp; It recognizes a volunteer who has made exceptional contributions to justice education.&nbsp; Sergeant Milton Ferguson of Toronto Police Services&#8217; 52 Division is this year&#8217;s recipient.&nbsp;His decade of service, promoting positive relations between youth and police in Toronto, was recognized by Ontario&#8217;s three Chief Justices.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural group of Ambassadors &nbsp;includes: Michael Bookman of Babin Bessner Spry LLP, Tosh Weyman of Torys LLP, Jordan Katz of Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP, Jonathan Burton of Gluckstein &amp; Associates, Asher Honickman of Matthews Abogado, Lionel Tupman of Tupman &amp; Bloom and Rohan Sethi of KPMG LLP.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the<a
