It meets Grade 5 Ontario curriculum expectations in Social Studies in a fun and effective way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A selection of posters will be included in OJEN\u2019s Art in the Courts program \u2013 an initiative designed to highlight positive community involvement with our courts. Each year students\u2019 posters are selected and sent to courthouses across the province to make courthouses a more welcoming and friendly place for children and families.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2025-2026 Poster Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration closes on <strong>May 11, 2026<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"ub-buttons align-button-left orientation-button-row ub-flex-wrap wp-block-ub-button\"  id=\"ub-button-ca4f9128-d325-4b07-a8ea-f808ee9a0714\"><div class=\"ub-button-container\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/ojen.ca\/en\/civicrm\/event\/register\/?id=1636&#038;reset=1\" target=\"_blank\"\n    rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\n    class=\"ub-button-block-main ub-button-medium ub-button-flex-medium\" role=\"button\">\n    <div class=\"ub-button-content-holder\"><span class=\"ub-button-block-btn\">Register here<\/span>\n    <\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h2>How to Participate<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The contest is open to all English and French Grade 5 classes in Ontario.<\/li>\n<li>Please register using the link above.<\/li>\n<li>All posters must be 11&#215;17 in size.<\/li>\n<li>Use regular paper, poster paper or bristol board.<\/li>\n<li>Posters can be in English, French, or both.<\/li>\n<li>You may choose to teach the optional lesson plans that you can download below (CCLA TNF Lesson Plans 1 &amp; 2) to support your students as they plan their creations. These help young people to define what fundamental principles of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms are the most meaningful to them, personally.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;Art and the Courts Teacher&#8217;s Guide&#8221; contains suggestions for a real or virtual class trip focused on how justice principles are translated into artistic works, including previous winners of the poster challenge.<\/li>\n<li><b>Encourage your students to make colorful, unique artwork.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Submission Process<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Download the parental consent form below.<\/li>\n<li>Print and distribute the parental consent form to your students to have it filled out by their parent(s) or guardian(s).
