Teachers
OJEN’s programs and resources for teachers of law and law-related subjects enhance classroom learning and bring the law to life. Our resources are designed to support Ontario curriculum expectations and are reviewed by lawyers and educators.
Browse OJEN’s resource library
OJEN’s searchable resource library contains over 200 teaching resources available to download free of charge. Find materials on a wide range of legal topics and subject areas, including teacher’s guides, discussion topics, student handouts, rubrics, and more. Resources are for general educational use and are not legal advice. Anyone dealing with a legal issue should consult a lawyer for confidential, specific legal advice.

Programs for law classes
OJEN’s Courtrooms & Classrooms programs give students insight into how the justice system works. OJEN programs are experiential, innovative, and engaging. Our annual province-wide programs, such as the Charter Challenge and the OBA-OJEN Competitive Mock Trial tournaments, promote critical thinking, teamwork, research and advocacy skills. Check out these and many other curriculum-linked classroom programs.

Get involved
OJEN is a small organization with a big impact. Our success depends on the dedication and expertise of talented volunteers who generously contribute their time across all areas of our work. If you’re interested in volunteering with OJEN, here are a few ways you can get involved:

OJEN committees are located in communities throughout Ontario. Justice and education sector representatives collaborate to organize local justice education initiatives.
All of OJEN’s classroom resources are reviewed by teachers to ensure they satisfy curriculum requirements and are suitable for high school students.
OJEN partners with school boards, subject councils and faculties of education to deliver professional development programs for teachers and teachers-in-training.
Contribute to our work
It is important to us to offer our classroom programs and resources free of charge. Our professional development sessions are either free or offered at low cost. As a small not-for-profit organization, we welcome donations to help us continue creating high-quality justice education resources and programs.
