OJEN Law Institutes are continuing professional development programs that offer teachers a forum for learning, dialogue and exchange with leaders from the legal system. Each year, Law Institutes are held in different locations around the province, providing teachers with the opportunity to connect with justice sector professionals working in their local region. We have hosted similar events in Windsor, Ottawa, Kingston, Sudbury, and Thunder Bay.

OJEN’s Summer Law Institute (SLI) is our flagship professional development event for secondary school teachers of law and law-related subjects. The SLI is a two-day conference, held in downtown Toronto. The event features experts talking about emerging areas of law and key issues facing the justice system in Ontario. It has become a late-summer staple for many teachers as they prepare to return to the classroom.
