Whether you’re interested in learning about the law, exploring careers in the justice sector, or finding ways to make a difference in the world, OJEN’s programs provide information, inspiration, and opportunities to connect with the legal community.
OJEN’s Justice Education Fellowship is a year-long program for law and paralegal students across Ontario. Fellows receive in-depth training in public legal education from OJEN staff and gain hands-on experience by delivering at least three justice education programs in local high schools or community settings.
Futures in Justice is a career modelling program that introduces young people of all backgrounds to legal professionals with similar experiences.
Bursaries are available annually to grade 12 students in Ontario, pursuing post-secondary studies related to the many careers in the justice system at an Ontario University or College.
Each year, the Black Female Lawyers Network (BFLN) holds a one-day retreat. OJEN partners with the BFLN to host 30 young BIPOC women to attend the retreat. The day-long event offers opportunities to find out what a career in law looks like, network, and find inspiration from the stories of successful Black female lawyers.
