2011 Pat Noble
The inaugural recipient of OJEN’s Hux-Kiteley Exemplary Justice Educators Award is Pat Noble, an educator with the Peel District School Board. Ms Noble has been a trailblazer in the promotion of justice education in Peel Region, developing strong relationships between school and justice communities that support the success of students.
Pat Noble was both an elementary and secondary school teacher before becoming a vice-principal in 1998 and a principal in 2002 and has recently assumed the role of Superintendent of Education for the Peel District School Board. As a member of the OJEN Committee in the region since 2002 Pat was active in organizing the first Mock Trial Tournament at the Brampton Court House for local high school students, which has become one of the very successful OJEN Mock Trial events in the province.
As principal of Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School in Brampton, Pat was influential in establishing a Specialist High Skills Major in Justice, offering specialized programs on the Canadian legal system, for students interested in pursuing careers in the justice sector.
