Don Morris

 As a secondary school law teacher at St. Mark High School in Ottawa, Don Morris has personally made exceptional efforts to connect his students to the justice sector through court visits, inviting justice professionals to speak in his classroom and organizing mock trials.  As a member of the Ottawa OJEN Committee since 2005, Mr. Morris’ classroom expertise and educator’s perspective has been instrumental in allowing for it to tailor justice education initiatives meet the needs of Ottawa area students and teachers.  His input and suggestions illustrate his understanding of the importance of supporting the values of the justice system and the value of building dialogue and cooperation among counsel, judges and students.  Notably, he played a key role in establishing the annual Ottawa mock trial tournament.
