Access to Justice Week is an annual initiative of The Action Group on Access to Justice (TAG) supported by the Law Society of Ontario and The Law Foundation of Ontario. This year it takes place on the week of October 25th to 29th. The events of the week bring together stakeholders from the justice community to explore critical issues facing the justice system regarding public access to legal services.
This year, OJEN will co-host a workshop on Guidelines for Better Legal Workshops with the Public Legal Associations of Canada (PLEAC). Designed for lawyers, paralegals, law students and others who are interested in giving legal information presentations to the public, the workshop will be delivered by Zoom.
Presenters will include some of OJEN’s experienced program facilitators who will share tips and best practices for delivering public legal education workshops. From preparing your presentation materials to offering tips on how to encourage audience engagement, facilitators will walk through each element of a successful public legal education workshop.
