22 students awarded justice education bursaries in 2024

Each year, the Association of Justices of the Peace of Ontario (AJPO), the Association of Ontario Judges (AOJ) and the Ontario Superior Court Judges’ Association (OSCJA) provide bursaries to graduating grade 12 students in Ontario who are pursuing post-secondary studies leading to law-related careers. Each association offers one bursary in each of their judicial regions. They are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

This year, 284 students applied for the 22 available bursaries. Some recipients mention how encouraging it is to receive the award at this significant time in their lives.

As one recipient writes, “To have been selected came to me as a surprise like no other. Starting this new chapter comes with much unknown, and this news helped to ease some of that for me. I am looking forward to this new adventure in my life, filled with excitement and fun memories ahead. Thank you for your support!”

The application process for the current academic year opens March 10, 2025.
