Volunteer-run OJEN committees in communities organize local justice education initiatives and support OJEN’s province-wide programs.

Legal professionals
Hundreds of dedicated volunteers from the legal community generously share their time and expertise to support our programs and help develop educational resources.

Get involved

The support of the legal community has been vital to OJEN’s success. Judges, lawyers, paralegals, court staff, police officers, law students and others all help us expand our reach to thousands of youth annually. There are a number of ways for justice sector workers to get involved.
OJEN’s programs are delivered across Ontario with the help of approximately 1200 justice sector volunteers, including:
- judges,
- justices of the peace,
- lawyers,
- paralegals,
- police officers,
- law school students,
- court staff, and other justice sector professionals.
OJEN offers training and online resources for lawyers, paralegals, judges, and other legal professionals who are interested in delivering public legal education workshops for youth audiences.
Meet with a mock trial team in a high school or community setting and help them develop their case and prepare for competition.
Contribute to our extensive database of curriculum-linked classroom resources. Write a resource or review an existing resource for legal accuracy.
OJEN is happy to accept barrister’s robes and tabs, which we supply to youth participating in our mock trial programs.
As a not-for-profit organization, donations are very important to us. Your donation can help us respond to justice education requests we would not be able to otherwise.
