OJEN is offering an online training session for justice sector professionals in Ottawa on how to facilitate OJEN’s Navigating Police Encounters program.
Navigating Police Encounters is a two-session interactive justice education program that offers youth and young adults (ages 14-26) the opportunity to build their knowledge and understanding of the law governing rights and responsibilities with police.
After attending this training, justice sector professionals will be qualified to facilitate this workshop for youth and young adults in community settings and can join OJEN’s roster of volunteers who are available to respond to program requests that OJEN receives from community partners in Ottawa.
If you are a lawyer, police officer, community justice worker, law student, paralegal, or law clerk who is interested in volunteering with OJEN and if you are interested in learning how to run this youth-focused program, we encourage you to attend!
