Breaking Barriers to Careers in Law

Join us on November 3, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ottawa Courthouse for a half-day event exploring pathways into the legal profession.

The program will feature lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals discussing their experiences as first-generation lawyers, financial assistance for legal education, and the importance of representation from equity-seeking groups in law. Students will have opportunities to ask questions, learn about different legal careers, and hear practical advice about overcoming barriers to entering the legal profession.
