Futures in Justice – Six Nations

For many young people, a career in law may feel out of their reach. Futures in Justice and other OJEN career modelling programs help young people “see themselves in law” by introducing them to legal professionals with whom they share similar backgrounds or experiences. The goal of these programs is to show that there is a place for everyone in the legal profession regardless of background. The Futures in Justice program showcases a variety of legal professionals, emphasizing the different careers in justice and the non-linear pathways to reach them.

The Six Nations Futures in Justice event will connect young Indigenous women or two-spirit individuals to legal professionals with whom they share similar backgrounds. This career modelling program will help our participants see themselves in the law and emphasize different paths to careers in justice.
