Trailblazers: Meeting Women in Law
Every October, OJEN partners with LEAF and LAWS to run a full-day event that introduces high school girls to women working in law. This year, we will start at the University of Toronto. Then we will head to Osgoode Hall to chat with a judge and talk about diversity in the legal profession. We end the day at a local law firm, where female lawyers and paralegals bring us into their world and show us the ropes.
This year, Trailblazers will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
Each school or organization can register up to 4 students. Spaces tend to fill up quickly, so we recommend registering as soon as possible. Registration opens at 3pm on September 20, 2017. You will need to submit a completed permission form (available below) at the time of registration.
Students from First Nations or who will be travelling longer distances and staying overnight are invited to contact us in advance to reserve space. If your school is in the TDSB and works with the LAWS program, please contact the Director of LAWS to register. For all other inquiries, please contact us at (416) 761-9963 or trailblazers@ojen.ca.
