The Top Five
This resource, published yearly by OJEN since 2002, is one of most popular and engaging tools we offer to teachers and others to engage young people with developments in Canadian law. Each year at our annual Summer Law Institute, a leading Ontario jurist or legal scholar presents about five Canadian legal decisions from the previous year they feel are of the greatest importance and interest to educators and the public.
These are not mere summaries, but rather reflect the excellent insights and analyses of the presenter each year. Each case also includes discussion questions informed by Bloom’s taxonomy to engage different modes of learning. Click on any of the links below to read leading cases from that year.
