Running Steps to Justice workshops
OJEN offers a range of workshops that use Steps to Justice to introduce specific areas of law to young audiences. We produced this short video for teachers and facilitators to explain how to run the workshops. To get a copy of the workshop materials, please email Bryn at brieger@ojen.ca.
Live facilitator training for justice sector volunteers
Periodically, OJEN offers live training for justice sector volunteers on how to facilitate Steps to Justice workshops. After attending a training, justice sector volunteers will be qualified to run any of the Steps to Justice workshop modules in any high school classroom and may join a roster of volunteers who are available to respond to workshop requests that OJEN receives from teachers. Until further notice, all workshops will be conducted online.
The next round of training workshops will take place in June 2021. If you are a lawyer, paralegal, or law clerk who is interested in volunteering with OJEN, we encourage you to attend!
