OJEN volunteer orientation for classroom programs

Classroom visits are an exciting way for students to meet and have conversations with legal professionals. OJEN’s classroom speakers include judges, justices of the peace, lawyers, paralegals, police officers, law school students, court staff, and others.

Legal professionals: your orientation resource will help you prepare for your time in the classroom. It includes information about classroom visits, facilitation tips, OJEN’s Volunteer Code of Conduct, and links to additional resources that are available through our website and some of our trusted partners. If you are interested in learning more about developing and delivering youth-focused public legal education, consider browsing OJEN’s “additional resources” to continue your professional development.

Teachers: your guide includes materials that will support you and your guest speaker as you two prepare for the classroom visit
