Bursaries for Grade 12 Students Pursuing Studies Toward a Career in Law

Bursaries are available to grade 12 students in Ontario, pursuing post-secondary studies related to the many careers in the justice system at an Ontario University or College.

These bursaries have been created to assist students who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to their studies and who are in financial need. Bursaries are offered in each judicial region by the Association of Justices of the Peace of Ontario (AJPO), the Association of Ontario Judges and the Ontario Superior Court Judges’ Association (OSCJA).

  Association of Justices of the Peace of Ontario - Amount: $1000.00  (7 awards)


  Association of Ontario Judges- Amount: $500.00  (7 awards)


Ontario Superior Court Judges’ Association - Amount:  $500.00   (8 awards)

Your Application must be submitted using the online form.

To apply, students must submit:

1. The Bursary Application Form which includes a 250 word essay expressing why you feel you should receive this bursary. (Students can apply in English or French.)

2. Name and email contact information for a High School Teacher or Principal who can attest to your eligibility. (e.g.  School involvement, grades, financial need) Your reference will be contacted via email.

3.  Your reference will be contacted via email. 


** Bursary funds will be released to the successful applicants upon evidence of enrolment in a program related to the justice sector **
