Guidelines for better legal workshops: best practices for effective public legal education presentations

Access to Justice Week (A2J Week) brings together a range of justice sector stakeholders to develop meaningful, public-centred solutions that advance systemic change in the justice system. OJEN is pleased to support A2J Week in 2021 with activities for students, teachers, community workers, and legal professionals. Public legal education (PLE) is an important part of access to justice. OJEN and Public Legal Education Association of Canada (PLEAC) are pleased to support A2J Week by presenting a 90 minute webinar for legal professionals who are interested in offering legal education workshops for the public. In this session, experienced PLE professionals will share OJEN’s Guidelines for Better Legal Workshops, adding practical advice, teaching strategies, useful resources, and other insights.

  • This program contains 1 hour of EDI Professionalism Content (Law Society of Ontario).
  • This session is designed for legal professionals (including lawyers, paralegals, and others) and legal professionals-in-training (e.g. law students).
